
| As the post-war era became the Baby boom, new and memorable Holywood Beauties began illustrious careers in the spotlight. Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor burst onto the screen, while Katherine Hepburn and Bette Davis continued to garner prominent, critically acclaimed roles. The 50's also introduced a new phase for the "B Movie", namely a flood of science fiction and monster movies populated with forgettable casts. Most of these films are simply terrible, today only bearable as novelties. An innocence still graced our culture, not yet shocked by Kennedy's assassination or unsettled by long hair, burning bras, social unrest and mass drug culture waiting right around the bend.
